Here at Uprise Energy we talk a lot about the technology we’ve developed for harnessing wind energy and how our portable wind turbines are able to provide energy where needed for disaster relief and humanitarian outreach. While we are proud of our product, we are also supporters of all things which combat climate change and drive progress towards a green future.

We previously wrote a blog post about being selected for the Most Innovative Product award, put on by Connect San Diego. The Innovation Awards Gala Dinner happened on December 5th, 2019 at Hyatt Regency La Jolla Aventine. The night consisted of a pre-dinner networking event followed by dinner and awards ceremony.

Many of the well-known family names here in southern California had representatives in attendance. There were leaders of high-profile international organizations in attendance as well. Everything about the night was top shelf. A selection of our staff including CEO Jonathan Knight represented Uprise Energy at the event. He describes it like “attending a Hollywood award show.” There were San Diego local industry leaders there to receive lifetime achievement awards. There were awards provided to many growing companies driving innovation in their industries in multiple categories, including cleantech – the category in which we were nominated as a finalist.
