Uprise Energy is a leader in distributed energy solutions. Our 10kW Portable Wind Turbine provides “green” power generation on-site where it is needed. It can be set up and taken down in 1 hour by one person. There is no pollution generated by our clean technology. It is an appropriate power solution for industrial, humanitarian aid, off-grid living, remote bases of operations, and more.
Today we are sharing a video showcasing the way our Portable Wind Turbine applies our proprietary technology to autonomously control the rotor RPM to ensure that the optimum tip-speed-ratio is maintained through variable wind speeds. This is done to ensure that we maintain the highest possible efficiency throughout the changes in wind speed and results in a significant increase in generated power given that the kinetic energy in wind grows exponentially at the cube relationship of wind speed. That is a lot of technical speak for what we refer to as “Dancing With the Wind.”
Dancing With the Wind is a primary feature that differentiates the Uprise wind turbine from all other turbines on the market. We start with best-in-class blade efficiency (48% Cp) and this high efficiency is complimented with our proprietary Dancing with the Wind feature that make our wind turbine orders of magnitude better than the current state of the art in wind energy. And we are the only ones that are portable, meaning we can easily be set up in 1 hour, where it takes traditional systems over 2 years to install.
The following video was recorded in Dulzura, California, a community just east of San Diego on August 13, 2020. Approximately half way through this video our CEO Jonathan Knight provides some commentary about what is happening which may not be immediately obvious.
Some key observances to be highlighted from this video:
Our programming is reading multiple sensors and making autonomous micro-adjustments many times per second in order to maintain optimum tip-speed-ratio (RPM control)
The power generation met or exceeded the predicted amount at all wind speeds observed.
Safe operational RPM is maintained autonomously in constantly changing wind speed conditions.
It should also be noted that we set a new record today: Three people were able to take the wind turbine from fully deployed and operational to taken down and ready for towing in 15 minutes.
We welcome comments and questions below. Feel free to share this as well.
