Back in September 2019, Uprise Energy’s CEO Jonathan Knight was selected to be a presenter at the 24th World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi. This is an event put on by the World Energy Council, which is the world’s largest and most influential energy event covering all aspects of the energy agenda. It is an event which takes place every three years, and it started in 1924. The 2019 event was attended by over 18,000 attendees from 146 countries. This includes world leaders, tech giants, and organizations which focus on identifying innovative startup companies.
Current services in development by Uprise Energy include engineering our portable wind turbines to be fully functional IoT devices.
For the operator of the wind turbine, the turbines will provide connectivity both to and from the machine with full telemetry and real-time data analytics. This allows operators to manage their assets wherever they may be from a centralized location. For example, if you are an operator managing 1000 turbines, you will have the ability to view the power generated by each turbine, total power generated by all, how much down time per turbine, wind conditions per location, and much more.
Today I was thinking about the multitude of reports submitted recently by various scientific organizations on the topic of climate change. The reports all unanimously state in very definitive terms that 1) climate change is caused by man and 2) that we are officially in a crisis which if not corrected soon will cause irreparable damage to the planet (and the life on it). The most notable of these are publications endorsed by vast collaborations of experts.
Here at Uprise Energy we talk a lot about the technology we’ve developed for harnessing wind energy and how our portable wind turbines are able to provide energy where needed for disaster relief and humanitarian outreach. While we are proud of our product, we are also supporters of all things which combat climate change and drive progress towards a green future.
